She was predeceased by: her parents, August Lorenz and Irene Lorenz (Taschner); her children, David Hughes and Susan; her brother Charles Lorenz (Chum); and her sister-in-law Daisy Lorenz.
She is survived by: her husband Buryl Hughes; her children, Dennis Hughes (Janet), Barbara Lenczewski (Mitchell), Kenneth Hughes (Renee), Joan Stroede (Bruce), Donna Dear (Joseph), Patricia Bigham (Curtis), Thomas Hughes (Mary) and Sharon Yates (Terry); her daughter-in-law Brenda Hughes; her brother Bernie Lorenz; and her sister-in-law Joan Lorenz. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
