He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Holmes and Golda Holmes (Brussel); and his siblings, Andy Holmes, Dave Holmes, Viola Purtee and Rosetta Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Robey (Penny), Pamela Miller (Robert) and Debra Barry (Dan); and his grandchildren, Jason, Rob, Bill, Cindy, Katie, Dan, Andrew, Mary, Luke, Don, Kyle, Patrick, Charlie, John and Bryan. He is also survived by 24 great grandchildren; and many extended family members, and special friends.
