He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Hampton and Augusta Hampton (Copeland); and his siblings, Melvin and Glenna Sue Garner. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Bob Hampton (Brenda) of Wellston, MI, Dawn Hampton of Flint, MI, Bill Hampton (Debbie) of Bonifay, FL, Philip Hampton (Patricia) of Wayne, MI and Michelle Duford (Brian) of Hale, MI; and his siblings, Gary Hampton (Judy) of Fredericksburg, VA, Mary Jeffery of Montrose, MI and Shirley Thrasher of Oklahoma. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandsons, and several nieces and nephews.
