He was predeceased by: his father William Edward Sherman; and his grandson Spencer Warner. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Sherman; his children, Sunday Niewoit (David), Tammy Dearing (John), Michelle Overzet (Gary) and Glenn Warner (Christina); his grandchildren, Jeslyn Acee, Logan Baker, Isabella Helzer, Torrie Jerashen, Caleb Whitney, Tarah Schmidt, Dylan Whitney and Alaina Warner; and his great grandchildren, Selah, Caden, Nevaeh, Oliver, Natalie and Kensley.
