He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Nester and Mary Nester (Macko); his daughter Margaret Sims; and his siblings, Frank, Andrew Nester, Mary Kalat and Ann Fromholz.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; and his daughters, Linda Sversko (John) of Swartz Creek, Paula Rock (Bruce) of Lennon, Carol Sanders (Daniel) of Grand Rapids and Sandra Gotham (Thomas) of Swartz Creek. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
