It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joel Patrick Choate of Swartz Creek, Michigan, who passed away on November 15, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Graydon Choate and Ocia Choate (Hughes); and his siblings, Jean, Betty, Peggy, Raymond, Jake and Randolph.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Jackson and Christa Hudalla (Jeffrey); and his grandchildren, Alicia Hudalla, Joel Hudalla (Caitrin) and Christopher Hudalla (Rachel).
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sharp Funeral Homes - Fenton Chapel (1000 W Silver Lake Rd, Fenton, MI 48430). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442).
