He was predeceased by: his parents, Graydon Choate and Ocia Choate (Hughes); and his siblings, Jean, Betty, Peggy, Raymond, Jake and Randolph.

He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Jackson and Christa Hudalla (Jeffrey); and his grandchildren, Alicia Hudalla, Joel Hudalla (Caitrin) and Christopher Hudalla (Rachel).
