He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Faris and Lucille Faris; and his siblings, Joe Faris, Richard Rudd and Lynne Melenbrink.
He is survived by: his son Jeff; his wife Sue; his children, Nathan (Justine Pearl), Maria, Megan, Isaac and Scott; and his sister Pam Fars (John Cherry). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, NPR (Michigan Radio or WKAR), or the Genesee District Library.
