She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Virgil and Clara Tate (Sanford); her husband Richard Thayer; her children, Richard (Trisha) of Linden, MI and Karen White of Swartz Creek, MI; her grandchildren, Laurie Welch (Chad), Sarah Thayer, Katherine Mandall and Sean White (Sara); her siblings, Carolynn Fanger (Gene), Evelyn Adams (Kent) and Virgil Tate (Ed); her daughter Dawn Cato (Doug); and her siblings, Marian Tate and Robert Tate (Mary). She was also cherished by 4 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to YWCA Women's Shelter or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
