Donald James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his father Theodore Sinkler (Lovelady); and his brother Robert Sinkler. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Jean Smith; his daughters, Shana Charles (Mark Masters) of Swartz Creek and Nola Gibson (Brian) of Swartz Creek; his grandsons, Tiyler (Jordyn), Grant (Kaleb), Beau (Ashley) and Luke; his sisters, Connie Novak (Dennis) of Swartz Creek and Joyce Earegood of Durand; and his sisters-in-law, Kathryn Stone, Jill Hawk (Dennis) and Barb Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sharp Funeral Homes - Miller Road Chapel (8138 Miller Rd, Swartz Creek, MI 48473). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442).
