He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald G. Burgess and Marilyn J. Burgess (Powers); and his son Justin James "Boone" Burgess. He is survived by: his daughter Angela Nicole Burgess; his grandchildren, Preston Burgess and London Ellis; and his siblings, Ron, Sue and Kathy Griswold.
