He was predeceased by: his parents, Gary B. Viele and Hazel M. Viele (Henning); his brothers, Terry "Tom" Viele, Foster and Anthony L. "Tony" Chaulklin; his parents-in-law, Arthur D. Ranger and Florence M. Ranger (Goupil); and his sister-in-law Mary Ann Viele (Gresock).
He is survived by: his wife Delores Viele (Ranger) of Swartz Creek; his son Dennis Viele (Heather) of Byron, MI; his grandchildren, Chase, Parker, Camryn, Lauren and Riley; his son David Viele (Susan) of Fishers, IN; his grandchildren, Kendall, Michael, Ryan, Nicholas and Jordan; and his nieces and nephews, Eric Viele (Julie), Brian O'Leary, Rachel Viele and Thanya Rhoades (Steve).
