He was predeceased by: his parents, Adalbert "Del" Asselin and Helen Asselin (Kosick); his daughter Jacqueline Elaine Asselin; his sister Phyllis Van Eckhoutte; and his nephews, Rod and Scott.
He is survived by: his wife Julia Asselin; his children, Jennifer Loftin (Steven), Jayme Asselin, Jo Ann Asselin, Donovan Asselin (CJ), David Asselin (Briana) and Jessica Siri (David); his grandchildren, Steffanie, Amanda (Nathan), Andrew, Justin, Charlotte, Lizzy, Natalie, Kaitlyn and Tyler; his great grandchild Damian; and his niece Dawn VanNewkirk (Larry). He is also survived by family; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Evening the Family and Parish (8138 Miller Rd, Swartz Creek, MI 48473). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church (4413 Morrish Rd, Swartz Creek, MI 48473).
