She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Shack and Dorothy Shack (McKay); and her brother Gregory Shack. She is survived by: her husband Jim Shortt; her children, Eric Floate (Dorothy) and Jessica Hodges (Troy); her stepchildren, Duane Shortt (Shannon) and Lisa Callaghan (Justin); and her siblings, Rajean Shack, Mark Shack (Gaye), Tony Shack (Diane), Steve Shack and Tracy Hissong (Brad). She is also survived by nine grandchildren.
