Richard left this world on December 19, 2024 at the age of 104, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Grout and Margaret Grout (Knapp); his former wife Norma Harkness Dundas; his wife Marion Neuenswander Thomas; and his siblings, Esther Mullen and Robert Grout (Bob).
He is survived by: his children, Donna Mouzard (Francois), Douglas Grout (Janet) and Bruce Grout (Carol); his stepdaughters, Janet Beger and Cathie Hufford (Jeff); his grandchildren, Christian Mouzard (Anile), Stephanie Bowden (Jesse), Ian Grout (Lisa), Travis Grout (Kate), Kaitlin Grout and Hunter Grout; his stepgrandchildren, Jonathan Beger, Justin Beger (Denise), Matt Hufford (Lisa) and Lyndsay Frost (Chris); his great grandchildren, Romeo, Phoenix Bowden, Elena, Aiden Grout and Marjorie Grout; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Mason, Brooklyn Beger, Abby, Lily Hufford, Parker, Ryan and Dylan Frost. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces and many, many dear friends.
