He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy L Thorp and Lucretia M. Thorp (McDiarmid); and his brother Eric Rice (Bernice). He is survived by: his wife Mary Wells; his children, John, Judy Coon (Scott) and Jim (Kim); his grandsons, Josh Ryan (Karla), Zachary (Nicole) and Nick Thorp (Derri); and his great grandchildren, Lucas, Ty Ryan and Annalise Thorp.
