He was predeceased by: his parents, Wellman Darling and Barbara Darling (Newlin); and his siblings, Wellman Jr., Ben, Barbara Todd and Susan Darling.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Sue Brandsen of Ionia; his children, Stacy Darling (Patti), Angela Seiler (Joel), Kerri Taylor (Chad), Scott Darling (Lisa) and Steven Darling; and his brother-in-law Richard Todd.
