He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray L. Croel and Bertha Croel (Peacock); his siblings, Earl Croel, Marion Pritchard, Ruth Marie Croel and Lois May Croel; and his siblings-in-law, Francis Pritchard and Dixie Croel.
He is survived by: his sister Laura Croel of Ionia.
