He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladwin Litwiller and Merita Litwiller (Peters); and his siblings, Eldon, Lynn Litwiller and Onalee Putnam.

He is survived by: his former wife Letha Joan Haynes; his wife Rose Marie Hinton; his children, Kirk Litwiller (Yvonne), Karla Davis, Jantha Rosencrans (Joseph), Brenda Maas (Daniel) and William Hinton (Lisa); and his brothers, Kenneth and Leonard Litwiller. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Those who wish may donate in Carl's memory to Interim Hospice.
