He was predeceased by: his parents, Estel Rentz and Jeannette Rentz (Murray); his wife Darlene Pinkerton of Constantine; his stepmother Selma; and his brother Russell Rentz.
He is survived by: his sons, Bruce Rentz (Maria) of Grand Rapids, Brian Rentz (Tania) of Grand Rapids, Marc Rentz (Babs) of Forest and Craig Rentz (Barna) of Sturgis; and his grandchildren, Lisa, Adam, Kasie, Erin, Mary, Jenny, Matthew, Michelle, Seth, Ashley, Aidan, Adamay and Colin.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (1108 E Lafayette St, Sturgis, MI 49091).
