He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold E. Hudson and Goldie R. Hudson (Rowen); his daughters, Cherri Hudson and Becca Hudson; and his siblings, Tim Moore and Brenda Hoke.

He is survived by: his wife Debbie L. Shumway; his sons, Ted Hudson II of Sturgis, MI and James Hudson of Sturgis, MI.; and his brother Tom Moore of Syracuse, IN.. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren.
