He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Thornburgh and Katherine Thornburgh (Inman). He is survived by: his wife Linda Schwartz; his children, Rex Shane Thornburgh (Cynthia) of San Ramon, Shannon Brown, III (James) of Sturgis and Staci Stahly of Sturgis; and his brother Bruce Thornburgh (Patty) of Michigan. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
