It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonard James Beers of Sturgis, Michigan, who passed away on December 10, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence L. "Speed" Beers and Betty Jean Beers (Harris); his wife Ruth Ann Benyi; and his sons, Todd Beers and Raymond Beers.
He is survived by: his children, Tina Weed (Bob) of Sturgis, Jim Beers (Tonya) of Three Rivers, Ron Beers (Ami) of Fort Wayne and Jamie Kittle, III (Delvaine); his stepchildren, Mary Ashmore (Tim Bell) of Sturgis, Deanna Benyi (Janie) of Arizona and Bryan James of Sturgis; and his brothers, Lewis Beers (Shirley) of Sturgis, Daniel Beers (Judy) of Sturgis, Larry Beers (Venus) of Sturgis and Labon Beers (Donna) of Wolcottville. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren.
