He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Benton and Jessie Benton (Porter); his wife JoAnn Lung; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Benton, Judy Jones, Jerry, Jack and Johnny Lung.
He is survived by: his brother Richard Benton of Edwardsburg; his nieces, Cheryl Murillo of Holland and Kristin Gerfen (Michael) of Schoolcraft; and his siblings-in-law, Jeff Lung (Beverly) of Sturgis and Janet Lung of White Pigeon.
