He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Harter, and Arlene Harter, Sr. (Gest); and his siblings, Coral Williams, Ellen Quinn, June Baldwin, Ray Harter and Fred Harter.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara A. Selvage; his children, Jennifer Wahley (Nick) of Bakersfield, California, Jason Harter (Shelby) of Lake Orion and Justin Harter (Marci) of Richland; his grandchildren, Landon Harter, Allie Harter, Colton Wahley, Kinsley Wahley and Josie Harter; and his sister Judy Knight of White Pigeon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
