He was predeceased by: his parents, Chris Sr. Schwartz and Elizabeth "Lizzy" Schwartz (Hostetler); his wife Edna Irene Bontrager; and his siblings, Marie Schwartz, Eli Schwartz, David and Levi Schwartz.
He is survived by: his children, Janice Polo (Martin) of Tampa, FL, Bruce Schwartz of Elkhart, Wayne Schwartz (Michelle) of Cape Coral, FL and Rick Schwartz (Jennifer) of Nappanee; and his siblings, Lester Schwartz (Nanci), Ray Schwartz (Sandra), John Schwartz (Joyce), James Schwartz (Gloria) and Barbara Hooley (John). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
