With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Chasity Kay Bender of Sturgis, Michigan, born in Niles, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 28, 2024 at the age of 47. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Chasity Kay leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul S. Pelfrey and Brenda Kay Pelfrey (Gregory). She is survived by: her husband Joshua Bender; her children, Lilly Henke (Dylan) of Elkhart, Indiana, Billy Whisman of Centreville and Owen Taylor; and her siblings, Tayna Pham of Sturgis and Rodney Gregory (Jamie) of Mendon. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Grace Christian Fellowship Church (300 Timothy Dr, Sturgis, MI 49091).
