He was predeceased by: his parents, Lydia Scheffler and Gustave Scheffler; his wife Adeline; his siblings, Ed, Paul, Herb, Gus, Natalie and Martha; and his grandchildren, Bennett Ross and Sarah Scheffler.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas Scheffler (Carla), Cynthia Allen (John), Elizabeth Ross (Stephen) and Stephen Scheffler (Kimberley); his grandchildren, Samantha (Fabbio), Donna, Matthew (Inbar), David (Kelcey), Ryan (Brooke), Patrick, Molly, Peter (Bridgitt), Katherine and Nathan; his half-brother Theodore Lenhardt; and his nephew Kenny. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
