He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Stempien and Steven Stempien. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Schabow (Barb); his sons, Michael (Dana) of Stevensville, MI, Charlie Jr. (Allison) of Mt. Prospect, IL, Jeremy (Carole) of Scotch Plains, NJ and Jim of Chicago, IL; his grandchildren, Charlie Stempien III, Christopher Stempien, Bridget Stempien, Julia Stempien, Laney Stempien and Michael Stempien; and his siblings, Tom Stempien of Des Plaines, IL and Lydia Kendrick of San Antonio, TX. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.
