Wyatt Steven Sangsland Obituary
Wyatt Steven Sangsland, age 24, loving son, grandson, brother, and friend passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025, in Sterling, Michigan. Born on January 3, 2001, in Saginaw, Michigan, to proud parents Roger and LeAnn (Parker) Sangsland, Wyatt's infectious laughter and kind spirit were a blessing to all who knew him. His journey through life, though brief, was marked by an unwavering love for his family, a passion for the great outdoors, and a dedication to his work that inspired everyone around him.
Wyatt's early years were spent on the family farm, a place that would shape his character and work ethic. He carried on the farming tradition with great pride, working not only on the Clearview Dairy family farm but also lending his talents to Twin Dairy and Wenkel farms. His recent role as a survey tech at Spicer's was a perfect fit, combining his love for precision and the outdoors. Wyatt approached his work with the same enthusiasm and care that he devoted to every aspect of his life.
Blessed with an adventurous spirit, Wyatt found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was happiest when he was outdoors, riding snowmobiles through fresh powder, ice fishing in the quiet of a winter's dawn, or traversing the land in his side by side. Hunting was not just a pastime for Wyatt; it was a tradition, a skill passed down through generations, and a way to connect with nature. Above all, Wyatt cherished the time he spent surrounded by family and friends, creating memories that would echo through their lives forever.
Wyatt's sense of humor was one of his most memorable traits. He was quite the jokester, always ready with a quip or a prank that would leave everyone in stitches. His funny and loving nature made him the heart of every gathering, and his kindness extended not only to those he knew but also to anyone in need of a friendly smile.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be carried forward by his family. Wyatt is survived by his parents, Roger (Dianne) Sangsland and LeAnn (Nathan) Butler; his adoring sister, Kelsie (fiancé Brett Schmidt) Sangsland; his grandparents, Mark (Sally) Parker and John (Mary) Sangsland; his special uncle, Ryan Collier, and aunts, Carrie Parker, Jessica Parker, and Stacy Sangsland; as well as cousins and his pets, Sophie and Pepper who will miss him dearly. He now joins his special uncle Lonnie Parker, and Aunt Dawn Sangsland, who preceded him in death.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 20, 2025, at 1:00pm from the Abundant Life Church with Pastor Tom McCoy presiding with a private burial. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday at church from 10:00am until time of service. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home-Standish Chapel.
