Kathleen Keifer Obituary

Kathleen "Kathy" Keifer, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2024, in Sterling, MI. Born on October 25, 1941, in Keego Harbor, MI, she brought joy and enthusiasm to the lives of those around her for 83 years.

Kathy was the loving matriarch of a large and vibrant family, who now cherish countless fond memories of her. She is survived by her devoted children: Allen Rhyndress, Michael Rhyndress, Pamela Gilbert, and Rodney Rhyndress; as well as her adoring grandchildren: Cayla Shapic, Ashley Rhyndress, Brandon Turner, Stefany Vogel, Ashlee Grusnick, Micheal Grauherr, Michael Rhyndress Jr., Dennis Gilbert, Angela Clapper, Christopher Gilbert, Tabitha Banfield, Javier Martinez, Maria Martinez, Alex Martinez, George Martinez and Amarily Laporte. The family tree she nurtured continues to flourish with the growth of her 16 great-grandchildren. Kathy's role as the cornerstone of her family remains an enduring legacy.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Keifer; her parents, Raymond and Eva Jones; her sister, Carolyn Ashbaugh; her brother, Richard Jones; her great-granddaughter, Aubree Grauherr; and her daughter-in-law, Geanie Rhyndress. They undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms into eternal peace.

Kathy's zest for life was contagious. She took pleasure in simple joys such as casino outings, going out to dinner, watching movies, indulging in shopping sprees with her sister-in-law Genice, and, above all, spending quality time with her family. Those who knew her will forever remember her loving, spirited, and passionate nature.

Kathy's radiant spirit and affectionate presence will be sorely missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
