He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Shepard and Lena Shepard; and his son David Shepard. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine (Koelsch); and his children, Marsha McElreath (Ken), Melvin (Nancy), Gordon (Peggy), Greg, Debra Makuski (Bill), Gina Doorn (Rich), Robyn Merrow (Keith) and Scott (Ana Valentina).
