He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley and Elizabeth; his stepmother Jean; and his siblings, Stanley "Joey" (Linda) and Charlene Lapensee (Bob).
He is survived by: his wife Emma; his daughters, Kristine Grabowski (David), Amy Koslowski (Thomas) and Lisa Porter (Wayne); his grandchildren, Ashley Liss (Devan), Megan Dettloff (Jackson), Trevor Grabowski, Cooper Koslowski, Jack Porter and Kensley Porter; and his pet Daisy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Thomas' honor to the Michigan Parkinson Foundation or Vietnam Veterans of America.
