With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Philip Charles Abate of Sterling Heights, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 16, 2024 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Philip Charles may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary; his daughters, Jennifer Mabry (Justin) and Christina; and his grandchildren, Christian and Ralphie.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Ambrose Church (15020 Hampton St, Grosse Pointe Park, MI 48230). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
