He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam and Josephine; and his brothers-in-law, Ralph Nowak and Robert Raught. He is survived by: his wife Esther Michalec; his sister-in-law Joan Nowak; his niece Diane Olkowski; and his nephews, David Nowak, John Nowak and Robert Raught Jr.. He is also survived by many friends and his adoring family.

In lieu of flowers donations to Parkinson's Foundation, Karmanos Cancer Institute or Capuchin Soup Kitchen – Detroit Chapter would be appreciated by the family.
