She was predeceased by: her parents, Valeriu Anghel and Paraschiva Anghel. She is survived by: her brothers, Ion Anghel (Rodica) and Teodor Gritu (late Elena); her nieces and nephews, Cordut, Razvan Anghel, Daniel, Liliana, Madalina and Ioana Savu (Barbu); and her former husband Victor Barbu.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mandziuk & Son Funeral Directors, Inc. - Sterling Heights (3801 18 Mile Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48314). The lying in state was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM at the Holy Ghost Romanian Orthodox Church (31500 Ryan Rd, Warren, MI 48092). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the River Rest Cemetery (4413 Flushing Rd, Flint, MI 48504).
