John D. Hlatky Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John D. Hlatky of Sterling Heights, Michigan, who passed away on January 2, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, John shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid John farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hlatky and Mary Hlatky; and his brother Joseph Hlatky (late Marie). He is survived by: his sisters, Irene Kocis (late Frank), Agnes Donahue (late Robert), Ernestine Hlatky and Mary Romanko (late Thomas). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wasik Funeral Home - Warren (11470 E Thirteen Mile Rd, Warren, MI 48093). A rosary was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. The lying in state was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Faustina Catholic Church (14025 12 Mile Rd, Warren, MI 48088). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
