He was predeceased by: his daughter Jacqueline Finn; and his brothers, Joe (late Dolores) and Ed (Jessie). He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Mary Beth Armbruster, Jeff (Jennifer) and Jill Carr (John); his grandchildren, Brieanna, Emily (Phil), Casey, Jack, Allison, Shannon, Shane and Olivia; his great grandchild Beau; and his sister Helen Mchugh (late Henry).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Beaumont Hospice in John's name are appreciated.
