It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Demosthenes Efthemiou of Sterling Heights, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on May 30, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Keating; his grandson James; his sister Dorothy Ewald (Robert); and his father George Efthemiou. He is survived by: his daughters, Kathryn Dekker (Gerald), Nancy and Janet; his grandchildren, Gerald Dekker (Megan), Daniel Dekker (Nicole), Timothy Dekker (Jami) and Emily Schenk (Cody); his great grandchildren, Brent, Alex, Violet, Delilah, Sophia, Josie, Rylie, Isabelle, Gerald "Cayden" and Callum; and his brother Raymond (late Liz). He is also survived by siblings, cousins and friends.
