He was predeceased by: his brothers, Keith and Leland. He is survived by: his wife Carol of Menominee, MI; his children, Terri Sue Krause (Rick) of Eau Claire, WI, Kellie Hartman (Dale) of Marinette, WI, Mike (Becky) of Menominee, MI and Gary (Sherri) of Marinette, WI; his grandchildren, Nathan Krause (Trevor Ayerst), Nichole Grossman (Dan), Travis Hartman (Shannon), Jason Hartman, Annie Lutz (Allyn), Michaela Louis (Brent Thoune), Jordan Louis (Gina), Alyssa Louis (Brandon Han) and Paige Louis (Ford Schremmer); his great grandchildren, Ariella, Liam and Deklan; his siblings, Warren Louis and Beverly Morris (Kent); and his sister-in-law Gayla Louis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established for the Menominee YMCA.
