He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Thoune and Josephine Thoune (Bushenville); his siblings, Emanuel Thoune (Henrietta), Robert Thoune (Ernestine), Glen Thoune (Theresa), Margie Pecott (Don), Joyce Mikus (Julius) and Peter Thoune (Shirley); and his brothers-in-law, Jim Laurin and Louie Machalk.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Vargo; his sons, Russell of Peshtigo and Stuart of Longmont; his grandchildren, Eric (Kathy) of Lena, Ryan (Jaci) of Stephenson, Mi., Ben (Darcy) of Grand Rapids, Mi., Rachel of East Lansing, Mi., Tyler of Stephenson, Mi. and Tommy (Chelsay) of Bermerton; his great grandchildren, Sawyer and Bronne Thoune; and his siblings, Maggie Machalk, Doris Laurin and Alvin Thoune (Shirley). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
