It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Rose Staples of Stephenson, Michigan, born in Waukegan, Illinois, who passed away on April 7, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Robert Kapheim; her grandchildren, Molly Bland and Jacob Parrett; her daughter-in-law Lisa Bland; and her brother-in-law Frank Muench (Red Bland).
She is survived by: her husband Richard Staples of Stephenson; her sons, Steven Bland (Michelle) of Menominee, James Bland (Llyuba) and Craig Bland of Kansas; her stepchildren, Barb Parrett (Dale) of Stephenson, Susan Negri of Marquette, MI. and Rick Staples of Two Rivers, WI; her grandchildren, Rebecca Bland (Joe Miron) of Manistique, MI and Bradley Bland of Menominee; her stepgrandchildren, Tony (Jennifer), Jon, Hannah, Ashley, Stephanie and Michaela; her siblings, Russell Kapheim (Rita), Robert Kapheim (Lynn), Thomas Kapheim (Carolanne) and Eleanore Muench; and her sister-in-law Jeannine Kumm. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
