He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon C. Cain and Ilene Cain (Seaman); his former wife Elizabeth Vaughn; his daughter Bethany Cain; and his brothers, Vernon (Nancy) and Robert Cain.
He is survived by: his wife Mavis Johnson; his children, Susan Reoch (Scott), Douglas Cain (Mandy), Michael Cain (Emily), Nancy Packer (Daniel) and James Cain (Megan); and his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Natalie, Edward, Katherine, John, Andrew, Isabella, Addison, Jillian, Matthew, Alexander, Gideon, Bryce and Jocelyn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made in Walt's name to Charity Baptist Church or Pilots for Christ Michigan Chapter.
