Helen Burden Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 12, 2025, at the age of 94, Helen Burden of Stanwood, Michigan passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Helen Burden to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Bell and Mabel Bell (Pruetz); her daughter Marla; her son-in-law James; and her brothers, Dale and Sonny.

She is survived by: her husband Gordon Burden; her children, Sue Blackmer (Randy), Janet Shea (Bill) and Darcy Richardson (Marvin); her grandchildren, Chris Blackmer (Brina), Brian Blackmer (Jennifer), Daniel Sedine (Erin), Amy Blake (Robert), Jacob Richardson and Taylor Doutry (Aaron); her stepgrandchildren, Brian Shea and Tina Ley; her great grandchildren, Adalyn, Anden, Callen, Kaleb, Danica, Paislee, Osiris, Ozzy and Bodhi; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Hunter and Cody; and her brother Dutch Bell. She is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Northland Global Methodist Church (6842 Northland Dr, Stanwood, MI 49346).

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mecosta County Commission on Aging, Corewell Hospice, or Northland Global United Methodist Church.
