It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Jay Pepper of Stanwood, Michigan, who passed away on February 19, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Laverne J. Pepper and Thelma Louise Pepper (Moore); his son Michael Jay Pepper; and his stepson Doug Bird. He is survived by: his wife Irina Anke Pepper (Todtenhaupt); his children, Christine Lee McCarthy (John), John Frances McCarthy V, Lisa Marie Warren (Michael), Nicholas Joseph Warren and Maxwell Jay Warren; the mother of his children Frances Clark Pepper; his stepson Derek L. Bird (Wuanda); his grandsons, Ethan and Jacob Bird; and his siblings, Marjorie McBride (Ken), Beverly Tanis (Ken) and John J. Pepper (Sue).
