He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Brand and Gladys Brand (Dent); his wives, Virginia Ehl of Remus, Michigan. and Nathalie (Smith); his siblings, Lorenz "Buddy", James, Harold and Marie Spencer; his siblings-in-law, Bud Spencer, James Campbell, Soenckie Smith, Robert Remer, Joyce Brand, Joanne Brand, Diane Brand, Margie Remer and Arlene Parrish; and his nieces and nephews, Charles, Sherry, Carrie and Doug Brand.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Brand of Stanton, Patricia Fredrickson (Eric) of Edmore, Joseph Brand of Sheridan and Timothy Brand (Heather) of Grand Rapids; his grandchildren, Faith Fredrickson of Gaylord, Emily Fredrickson, Elizabeth Fredrickson of Edmore, Annaliese Alderman (Grant) of Cedar Springs, Audrey Brand, Carissa Brand and Henry Brand; his siblings, Eugene Brand (Joan) of Remus, Lila Campbell of Orange Park and Jullee Vest (Michael) of Greenbrier, Tennessee; and his sisters-in-law, Louise Smith of Remus and Caroline Smith of Bay Port. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Janowicz Family Funeral Home (469 W Wheatland Ave, Remus, MI 49340). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Forest Hill Cemetery W. Weidman.
