He was predeceased by: his mother Veda Belle Cottrell; his stepmother Leslie; and his stepbrother Daryle Fountain. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his stepbrothers, David Fountain of Ionia, Steve Fountain of Ionia and Galen Fountain of Ionia; his siblings-in-law, Helen Warren of Dexter and Larry; his niece Heather Rodriguez (Angelo) of Long Beach, California; and his great-nieces, Maiela Rodriguez of Long Beach and Lusi Rodriguez of Long Beach.
