He was predeceased by: his mother Merrilyn Smith (Rittersdorf); and his siblings, Brian Wells, Steve Wells and Pam Wells. He is survived by: his father Richard Wells; his wife Kaylene Wells; his children, Alycia Duthler, Jeffray Wells (Brenda), Steven Wells (Ariella) and Katherine Wells; his stepchildren, Dennis Moody (Darcie) and Jessie Moody; and his sisters, Deb Carnahan (Dale), Julie Black (Garrett) and Denise Nuculovic (Stephano). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Spectrum Health Hospice.
