He was predeceased by: his parents, Jarold Schroeder and Eleanor Schroeder (Hamilton); his wife Barbara; his daughter Veronica Shaffer; and his brother Dan Schroeder.
He is survived by: his children, Victoria Horne of Pompano Beach and Ricky Schroeder of Adrian; his grandchildren, Michael Horne of Lansing, Kelli Arends of Lansing, Jodi Menzies of Eaton Rapids, Heather Knapp of Fonthill, Ontario (Canada), Christopher Schroeder of New Haven and Christina Vojtko (Kimberly Lopez) of Cedar Springs; his siblings, Tim Schroeder, Jeri McMillan and Kay Adams; and his friend Marilyn Herman of Stanton. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Charles's name to Careline Hospice.
