Nancy L. Haley Obituary
Nancy Lee Haley, born on December 3, 1948, in Standish, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on March 10, 2025. A life marked by profound kindness, friendliness, and an unwavering love for her family and friends, Nancy was a beloved figure whose warmth touched all who knew her.
In the town of Sterling, MI, on August 10, 1968, Nancy wed her wonderful partner, John Haley. Their marriage was a journey of joy, support, and shared dreams that spanned a remarkable 56 years. Together, they built a family foundation that was nurturing and strong. Nancy was the proud mother to Kimberly (Gary) Stein, and Shondell (Dan) LaClair. She cherished her role as grandmother to Jade (Kevin) Bey, Johna (Jesse) DeWeese, Talon LaClair, and Aslan LaClair, and was overjoyed to be a great-grandmother to Scarlett and Amelia DeWeese.
Nancy's essence is carried on through her siblings, Jan Yenior, Barb Forro, Sally Mrozinski, Janeen Fisk, Dan Meihls, Lyn Wenkel, Don Meihls, and Dede Meihls, each carrying their own cherished memories of her. Nancy now rejoins her predeceased family members, her parents Lowell and Julia (Ostroski) Meihls, along with her brother Dale, undoubtedly gracing the heavens with her gentle spirit.
Nancy's passions extended to the golf course and the simple pleasure of spending time with those she loved. Nancy Lee Haley will be dearly missed, but her legacy of love continues to live on in the heart of every life she touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 19th at the Arenac County Veterans Club from 2pm to 5pm.
