Joyce A. Mikkola Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 2, 2021, at the age of 89, Joyce A. Mikkola (Standish, Michigan) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Elzear Trombley and Nina Trombley (Bissonette); her husbands, Duane Mikkola and Homer DeShais; her siblings, Duane Trombley, Donald Trombley, Michael Trombley, Margret Brownhill and Audrey Koch; her great grandchildren, Autumn Rose, Kadance and Jazzelina; and her stepson Christopher Mikkola.

She is survived by: her children, Mark DeShais (Sandy), Lorie Grauherr (Keith), Greg DeShais (Darlene), Martin DeShais (Rose) and Mitchell DeShais (Nancy); her stepchildren, Jeff Mikkola (Jody), Kurt Mikkola (Kim), Darlene Mikkola and Shari Foster (Dave); and her sisters, Elaine Burton and Noreen Trujillo. She is also survived by 26 grand-children, 34 great grand-children and 10 great great grand-children.

In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital, which Joyce greatly supported.
